Obviously when Jillian announced the launch of her new clothing line, Impact, I couldn’t wait to try it. When I got online and looked at the prices I was even more excited! Prices range from $11 - $37 and the line is sold at Kmart. I placed my order online and it shipped directly to the store. I picked it up at the service desk with no hassle and didn’t pay a dime for shipping. All clothing falls into one of four categories - core training, yoga, running, and lifestyle.
I bought the low impact sports bra and ruched capri athletic pant. I love the capris. They’re very easy to move in, moisture wicking and fit true to size (I’m wearing a small). I liked that they were a looser fit for something different; an alternative to tight yoga pants. I ordered a medium in the sports bra but probably could have gotten a small. The fit around my rib cage is perfect but I have some extra room to work with in the cups (no surprise here). I kept it because it’s still supportive and I like the way it feels, I never want to feel uncomfortable in my clothes when working out. My workouts are uncomfortable enough!
It’s very fitting that I’m wearing my Jillian outfit when I am pictured doing a complete inversion. I was always jealous of yogis who could invert (balance upside down on their hands or forearms). I made it one of my 2014 resolutions to get completely upside down. I’m proud to say I’ve reached my goal. It’s a good reminder that we can still surprise ourselves. Jillian says we can conquer any “how” if we know our “why”. What’s your why? And how are you going to get there?
In addition to my favorite new workout outfit I scored this amazing headband from Never A Wallflower. The purple planets definitely make you look and feel cooler. The price point is my favorite part, only $10. This headband was extremely comfortable, didn't move around, and kept the sweat out of my eyes when I wore it to hot yoga. I wear headbands when working out to save my hair. See previous post here where I talk about working out and not washing your hair.
