I first learned about Fancy Tiger a couple years ago when I wanted to take a sewing class. I had never really given sewing a second thought until LC started sending me pictures of her creations. I had always thought sewing was for old ladies or the Amish, not true. Google led me to Fancy Tiger Crafts, which just happened to be in walking distance of my apartment. One look at the website and I was ready to sign up. I took two beginner sewing classes that fall - sewing 101 and the A-line skirt class. See a full schedule of classes here.
After starting The Resource Girls LC and I were drawn back to Fancy Tiger. Jaime and Amber embody everything RG stands for. We love their unique style, crafty nature and entreprenurial spirit. They have even expanded their crafting to cyberspace - check out their online shop here. They have recently designed their own pattern, the sailor top. They were kind enough to give us a pattern and we were ecstatic to pick out some new Fancy Tiger fabric. LC demonstrated her mad sewing skills and whipped up these two shirts in no time. We’re in love.
One of the original owners of Fancy Tiger now owns Fancy Tiger Clothing which we can’t say enough good things about. Fancy Tiger Clothing is an amazing place to find unique, stylish pieces that you won’t see at the mall. I love shopping there for gifts, especially for my brother who is extremely hard to buy for. Some of my favorite pieces from Fancy Tiger Clothing are pictured below.
