Browsing the Old Navy clearance section led me to these glorious track pants. They were on clearance for $13.49. Not too shabby for a cute pair of pants. I had originally thought they’d be a good purchase for a night out with the girls. However, I realized they had a tuxedo stripe, and it dawned on me they’d be great for work as well.
In the era of fashion blogs, I feel like work attire gets thrown to the wayside. Too many times I’m reading through said blogs and thinking, “That’s definitely not something I can wear to work.” Here at the Resource Girls my mission is to find pieces you can wear both for work and a night out with your girlfriends. So without further ado, I give you track pants two ways.
A simple white tee with my jacket, as a pop of color, is the perfect pairing to looking professional with my beloved track pants. When going for a more professional look, I choose pieces that are modest. Work is not the time for anything too low cut, too tight, or see through. Save it for after hours ladies.
For the night out look, I paired my track pants with a funky tank top, large and in charge earrings and let’s not forget my neon heels. Because, lets be honest, who can go wrong with neon?! When dressing for happy hour or a night out I tend to think the bigger and bolder the better. I blame this on my height. I constantly feel like my height gives me an excuse to wear taller shoes, big earrings and even bigger purses. You’d think it’d be the opposite and I’d be wearing small things to counteract my height. I’m 5' 11” and proud of it, I’ve never been one to hate on my height. To all the tall ladies, embrace it!
