Today we’re thrilled to be collaborating with B Present Studio! B Present Studio is a Barre Fitness Studio in Granger, IN. Cat recently did a post on a barre workout, here, which explains what it is and the benefits of it, so check it out for more info on barre! This post definitely peaked my interest and ever since she wrote it I knew I wanted to give it a try. B Present Studio offers their own unique take on barre workouts, or what they like to call Barre Beautiful. It's a 60-minute class designed to strengthen not only your legs, tush and core, but also your heart. They love the barre and it's benefits, but they also believe in getting your heart rate up in each workout. Their moto is B Fit. B Firm. B Fabulous and these Resource Girls have always had the motto, Be You, so it seemed to align with everything we stand for!
The best part of B Present Studio is you don’t have to be from Northern Indiana to experience their classes. B Present Studio now offers classes directly from their website in what they like to call Barre On Demand. Sometimes leaving the house to workout is the last thing I want to do when I get home from work, so having different options for when I want to stay indoors is definitely a must in my book. This is also a great option for people who are busy with summer travel but still want to squeeze a workout in. The On Demand feature offers taped Barre Beautiful classes from within their studio so you get music, an instructor and the energy of a class setting all in the comfort of your own home. They were kind enough to give me three classes to try out.
I was a little hesitant starting off because I know in barre they use medicine balls and other equipment I didn’t have at home, but I was happy to see they offered classes that don't use any of that. All you need is a little motivation, your laptop and a mat. A few of the positions in the workout called for an actual barre, but I used a bookshelf or a chair. Don't be afraid to improvise!
I never understood the barre workout craze until I tried it myself. It definitely left me feeling sore in places I never knew I had muscle and I burned a good amount of calories, so that’s a win in my book! I will definitely be keeping this in mind next time I need to get a workout in but want to skip the gym. To try it head over to their website. The prices are reasonable at only $5 for one Barre On Demand class. If you buy a package you save a little more than buying individual classes.
As far as I'm concerned, barre was a success and it definitely has me all sorts of wiped out.
