When you think of fall what's the first thing that comes to mind?  For these Resource Girls, it's cider mills, warm donuts and a yummy glass of apple cider. In the Midwest, cider mills and apple orchards are a big deal around this time of year.  RG recently had a girls weekend together in Michigan where we banned any work or blogging. It was just what we needed to roll into this fall season feeling refreshed. One of the days we spent together, we put on our best fall gear and headed to experience
Plymouth Apple Orchards and Cider Mill!

 We left the cider mill with our fall love tank filled and a little inspired to recreate an autumn tasting cocktail! Keeping with the apple cider theme, we decided to recreate a brunch mimosa with all the cider mill flavors. It's so good, you'll be grabbing a second glass!

Ingredients ||

Champagne

Apple Cider

Deep Eddy's Peach Vodka

Apples

Caramel Dipping Sauce

Cinnamon & Sugar

1. This first step is one that cannot be skipped. Adding some cinnamon and sugar to the rim of your champagne glasses adds the perfect extra flavor boost! The easiest way to do this is to mix equal parts cinnamon and sugar together and place this in a plate or bowl. Taking another plate or bowl, fill it with a small layer of water.  Now, taking your glass, dip the rim into the water and then straight into the cinnamon and sugar. Turn your glass around in a circle once or twice in the cinnamon and sugar.  That's it. This not only adds flavor, but makes your drink look just a little bit fancier.

2.  Fill your glass with 2/3 apple cider. Next, add half of a shot of Deep Eddy's Peach Vodka.
If you're using shooters, split one shooter between two glasses.

3. Lastly, top off each glass with champagne! If you're hosting a big brunch and want to mix the drink prior to your guests arriving, I'd mix the apple cider and vodka in a pitcher and then set out your champagne for guests to top of their glass. Those bubbles you get from pouring a glass of champagne are sometimes the best part of a mimosa!

4.  If you want to make your drink even yummier, then we suggest topping them with an apple slice that's been drizzled with a little caramel. These could be made ahead of time as well! We're not sure what says fall more than some apples, caramel and cider! We also love adding fun napkins into any party and these adorable eyeball ones are from Target.
I've linked a few below in case you want to celebrate in style!
