"And I'd choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I'd find you and I'd choose you."
15 days! 15 days until I become Mrs. Wertz. Yikes. How did that happen? I feel like I was just getting engaged and thinking about all the fun things to come that planning a wedding brings. To think we're two weeks away gives me goosebumps and excites me from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. It's no secret Nathan and I have been together for eight years. Like every relationship, we've had our ups and downs, but through it all we've never stopped working on ourselves and our relationship.
To think we get a day, May 28th, meant for us to celebrate this and celebrate a friendship and love that's so deeply rooted makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Forgive the corny-fest, but love is meant to celebrated and I couldn't be happier to share my favorite five things throughout this season of my life and transition into Mrs. status.
Wifey Tee ||
Cat got me this wifey tee as a gift prior to my wedding dress shopping appointment and I've loved it since the moment I opened it. At my bachelorette party, my sister gifted me this bomb wife tank from Target and I say keep the wifey clothing coming! I'll be wearing one the morning of the wedding as I get my hair and makeup done and the other on the plane ride to our honeymoon destination. Anything to shout my new status in life makes me super happy. Step aside boys, this wifey is taken! I've found a few for you and promise they'll make your sister or BFF happy to open if she's newly engaged or if she's celebrating a meaningful anniversary.
His and Hers Ring Dish ||
I got this ring dish at my bridal shower. I don't take my ring off often, but love having this on our dresser as a place for us to lay our rings in case we're needing to take them off. A wedding can definitely become all about the bride. Ain't nothing wrong with this! It feels good to be cherished and be in the spotlight for such a special time in life, but to all those brides out there don't forget about your man in all of planning! It's been super important to me that Nathan has been involved as much as possible in our wedding planning and ensuring details we have not only speak to my personality but his too. This ring dish is a simple reminder that it takes two to make a relationship work and two to make a wedding a success.
Blue Honeymoon Essentials ||
This picture is proof I've been on a blue kick lately. I didn't really realize it until I started getting things ready for our honeymoon and everything I had recently purchased for our trip was the color blue.
I've always been a black and gray kind of girl, so the idea of our honeymoon has me wanting to break out of my norm and wear some new, bright pieces. I don't know what makes me happier, the fact that I'll be off work for two and a half weeks or that I have a few new items to pack in my suitcase. I usually only take one week off for vacation a year, but not this year! This will be the first time since graduating college that I'll be off work for a full two and a half weeks. Just thinking about my time off and our honeymoon makes me feel tanner, less stressed, and all around happier. I seriously can't wait! Would you believe me if I told you this swimsuit and cover up were under $20? Well, it's the truth thanks to H&M. I also found these bomb sunglasses on a clearance sale at Ily Couture and I'll be sporting my new favorite nail polish from Walgreens on my toes!
Moscow Mule Mugs ||
I've lived on my own for almost nine years. In that time I've obtained hand me down dishes, used pots and pans, a random mix of kitchen appliances and all around a hodge podge of kitchen essentials. Registering was by far one of the more fun things that came with this whole wedding planning process. We were in dyer need of new dishes, silverware and a few items we had put off buying because sometimes buying stuff for your home isn't as fun as a new shirt or spending the money on a date night. Am I right? We had been wanting Moscow mule mugs for over a year and were thrilled when we were gifted two pairs thanks to our registry! A few other things we registered for I had been putting off on buying; waffle maker, coffee pot, griddle, glasses, new bar items like nice wine, martini and bourbon glasses, and funky serving dishes.
I swear our Moscow mules taste just a little bit better in our gifted mugs than had we purchased them on our own. Nothing makes you feel more special then having wedding gifts show up at your door step or being showered to you from friends and family. Cheers!
Love is a word that can definitely be over used, corny or all around hard for some. Life is a roller coaster that brings unexpected twists and turns and before you know it you can be headed down a path you didn't see coming. I'm here to say don't give up. Adjust your focus on the love in your life rather than the circumstances surrounding you. I have always believed love can conquer just about anything. It can turn your day around, fill you with strength when times are hard, and is a gift you can share with anyone, anywhere. Maybe it's your pet, or a best friend or even yoga. Whatever it is, find love in your life and then take that love and live it out loud just a little bit more, spread more of it around and feel it just a little bit deeper! I promise it has the ability to change you for the better.
“Love. What a small word we use for an idea so immense and powerful. It has altered the flow of history, calmed monsters, kindled works of art, cheered the forlorn, turned tough guys to mush, consoled the enslaved, driven strong women mad, glorified the humble, fueled national scandals, bankrupted robber barons, and made mincemeat of kings. How can love’s spaciousness be conveyed in the narrow confines of one syllable? Love is an ancient delirium, a desire older than civilization, with taproots spreading into deep and mysterious days. The heart is a living museum. In each of its galleries, no matter how narrow or dimly lit, preserved forever like wondrous diatoms, are our moments of loving, and being loved.”

Cat gave me this mason jar from The Love Bomb Company as a gift prior to my bachelorette party and I'm obsessed with it. It's a constant reminder that not only am I loved, but I need to bomb others with my love too.
